The Craft Certificate in Information Technology is intended to equip the trainee with skills, knowledge, and attitudes that are responsive to the challenging and dynamic needs in the computing sector.

Upon successful completion of the course, the graduate will be able to work in salaried employment or self-employment.

Course Details

An individual entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Certificate (D+ and above)

            Or

  • Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC)

The duration of the course is six months, which includes two trimesters of coursework, after which you will go for Industrial Attachment for 3 months.

There will be:

  1. Continuous internal assessments coordinated by BCTI
  2. External Competence assessment at completion of course coordinated by TVET KNEC

You must undergo an industrial attachment for a period of 10 weeks in a recognized organization.

If successfully completed, the candidate will be awarded a certificate by KNEC & Beta Care Training Institute.
